Flatwater canoeing athlete, Attila Vajda, from Hungary, became junior champion in 2000, winning the Canadian canoe C-2 1000m title in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France. His coach selected him as the “secret weapon” for the 2004 Olympics in Athens C-1 1000m. In 2005, he became very well-known as the “golden boy” of Hungarian canoeing.
