Ciprian Bălănescu was born in 1985 in the village of Făget, county of Timiş, in a family with six children. Ever since he was a kid, he has enjoyed playing in the great outdoors, running and cycling. When he was 14, he had his first encounter with the track and field sports, but triathlon was the one experience that changed his life, as it taught him to ask for more and follow his dreams. Balanescu is a champion in both triathlon and duathlon events. ”Triathlon is a complex sport requiring a well-balanced nutrition program, so as to get the targeted results for all the three categories: running, cycling and swimming.” Swimming, cycling and running, the three sports that together define the triathlon, are not mere hobbies for Ciprian, but the very core of his lifestyle
